Eric currently works for the Council of Independent Colleges as Manager of Research Projects. He earned his M.Ed. in higher education administration from the College of William & Mary and a B.S. with a double major in psychology & sociology from the University of Richmond. As a graduate student Eric conducted research related to rape and sexual assault prevention and was a founding member of Sexual Assault Peer Advocates (SAPA), an advocacy group for victims of sexual assault on William & Mary's campus. During his undergraduate career he served on Richmond's Judicial Council, Faculty Admissions Committee, and SACS QEP Planning Committee. He was also a member of the Richmond College Residence Life staff for 3 years, including 2 years as a Head Resident.
